We offer an Energy saving service using ac inverter drives on pump and fan applications.

 

Energy Saving using inverter drives

AJM Drives and Controls was asked to look at saving energy on 3 x 15kw supply pumps providing water to 2 x Boilers. The 3 pumps were running at full speed for 24hrs a day 7 days a week,Even when the boiler supply valves was fully closed.

We designed/installed a control panel with PLC control and 1 x 45kw inverter to control the flow from all 3 pumps.The PLC took signals from the supply valves and adjusted the pump speed accordingly.This reduced the power consumption significantly and the project will pay for itself within the first 12 months.Because the boilers  are such an important part of the factory process the panel incorporated a by-pass system and individual pump controls.
